What we do
The Mental Health Directorate provides a range of primary, community and inpatient services for adults and older adults across the four localities of Rhondda, Cynon, Taf Ely and Merthyr Tydfil areas.
Who is it for?
Adults over the age of 18 years.
Can anyone use this service?
Yes. The service takes referrals from GPs as well as self referrals from clients.
Opening Times
Community Mental Health Teams – 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams – 24/7 assessment services and seven day home treatment services.

What to expect
The first point of contact will result in a mental health assessment in order to ascertain the right level of support and intervention to manage the mental health difficulty. There are a range of treatment options from advice, support and psycho-education to treatment on inpatient wards.
