Staff and teams from across Cwm Taf Morgannwg health board are stepping away from their usual roles to support colleagues in other areas during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff gathered to celebrate the unit’s tenth anniversary and former colleagues were also amongst the invited guests to mark the occasion, namely Mr Eric Nash, a former consultant in oral surgery in Prince Charles Hospital and latterly post graduate dean, Alan Griffiths, former dental programme director.

The health board is aiming to improve the oral health of children in Cwm Taf aged between 0 – 7 years old and have implemented a campaign ‘Baby Teeth DO Matter’.
The official launch of ‘Baby Teeth DO Matter’ is taking place in the foyer of Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil on Monday, April 10th at 10am.
More than 20,000 patients have been treated at the Porth Dental Teaching Unit since it opened in 2009.
