A new Clinical Research Centre designed to enhance Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB’s research work and give patients access to new therapies, treatments and therapeutics has opened at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant. A photography competition was held to celebrate, with the winning entries on display in the foyer.
Patients with certain conditions who attend the Royal Glamorgan Hospital with a minor injury late in the evening are being offered a timed appointment the following morning, under a new pilot scheme to reduce waiting times. Patients will also have the option of waiting at ED to be seen the same evening.

A new Clinical Research Centre is due to open at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant in January 2021, which will enhance the current research facilities at the health board.
We are delighted to welcome a further 33 overseas nurses in addition to 27 nurses who joined Cwm Taf Morgannwg in September. The nurses, from India, have joined our team following a recruitment drive and are settling into their roles at our three acute hospitals after completing a period of quarantine.
