The Tirion freestanding midwifery-led birth centre will re-open at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital on, Monday 26th October.
It is with regret that we must delay the re-opening of Tirion Birth Centre at Royal Glamorgan Hospital which was planned for Monday 5th October, due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital.
Due to national public health guidance around COVID-19, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close Tirion Birth Unit at Royal Glamorgan Hospital from 7pm tonight (March 19th).
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board’s Maternity Services have been making extensive preparations regarding Coronavirus in pregnancy.
We would like to invite women and families who have used our maternity services to give their views on what’s important to them and share their stories and experiences at a number of conversation cafes which we are hosting. These events are for us to listen to people’s views and help shape our maternity services in the future. You can come for the whole event or just drop in for a few minutes and there will be facilities for children.
