A new Clinical Research Centre designed to enhance Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB’s research work and give patients access to new therapies, treatments and therapeutics has opened at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant. A photography competition was held to celebrate, with the winning entries on display in the foyer.
Creative writing and art sessions have been helping patients and staff manage their wellbeing, by allowing them to tell their stories and share experiences at Ysbyty’r Seren in Bridgend.

Volunteers unable to support patients face to face during lockdown are turning to other skills to mark Remembrance Day, after creating beautiful poppy wreaths and handmade cards to boost the wellbeing of patients affected by COVID-19 and the staff looking after them.
As part of a national gesture to thank NHS workers across the UK, artist Damien Hirst has generously gifted Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB with a beautiful piece of his art work Butterfly Rainbow – a rainbow formed from illustrated butterfly wings.
