Cynon Valley garden funding sows seeds for community wellbeing

An outdoors community enterprise set up to boost mental health and wellbeing in the Cynon Valley is celebrating after successfully applying for funding to buy the five-acre site it has been renting during a ‘whirlwind’ two years.

A total of 12 Combat Medical Technicians and Paramedics from the Royal Army Medical Core (RAMC) have been deployed to Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend since April 2020.

Online art proves lockdown lifeline for RCT wellbeing group

Members of an arts for wellbeing group are supporting each other through lockdown after taking their weekly sessions online. Members of RCT-based Breathing Space have been meeting via Zoom since the beginning of the Covid pandemic and painting, sketching, writing and even dancing and hula hooping in unison from the comfort of their own homes!
